Sexology Courses is a My Sexual Health initiative. We are committed to evidence-based, experience-informed, ethical, and inclusive Sexual Health Education. Our offering includes training courses that are Accredited with HPCSA Continuous Professional Development points through SAMA, Webinars and Self-helps courses. We also provide a comprehensive platform service to a Team of Credible Sexual Health Providers.

Sexology Courses is the content creation vehicle for My Sexual Health, launched in January 2021.

Our digital platform hosts content that can be purchased as a single course, webinar recording, bundles or courses or the Sexology Training Club.

- And more than 3,600 hours of educational video have been watched so far!

MSH also has a full accreditation programme. To date 58 people have gained full MSH Accreditation.

Please note: MSH Accreditation is not a formal qualification in sexual health. MSH always encourages any person who has the means to obtain a formal qualification in sexual health to do so.

DR ELNA RUDOLPH

Medical Doctor and Sexologist

Dr Elna Rudolph is the clinical head of My Sexual Health, sexologycourses.com and The Sexology Training Club. She is a medical doctor and Sexologist and has been working in the field of sexual medicine since 2010. She was the first doctor in South Africa to obtain a Higher Diploma in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine through the Colleges of Medicine and obtained a Master’s Degree in Sexual Health through the University of Sydney, Australia. She was also one of the first Fellows of the European Committee for Sexual Medicine – the highest attainable, internationally recognised qualification in Sexual Medicine. She is the President-Elect of the South African Sexual Health Association (SASHA) and the President of the 25th Congress of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS).

PROF ELNA MCINTOSH

MSH Mentor and Clinical Sexologist

I have been a Sexual Health Advisor, Educator, Researcher & Therapist for over 35 years. My entire career has been aimed towards a single set of goals: telling the truth about sexuality, helping people feel sexually normal and powerful and supporting the healthy sexual expression and exploration of women and men. I have been elected a Lifelong member of the South African Sexual Health Association. I am a member of the American College of Sexologists and held an Associate Professorship at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, San Francisco, California.

DR ELMARI MULDER CRAIG

Sexologist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist

European Certified Sexologist and Relationship Expert Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. Dr Elmari Mulder Craig is one of South Africa’s best-known sexologists, a globally recognized authority in the fields of sexuality and relationships and has 25 years’ experience in private practice. She has a special interest in dealing with sexual pain disorders, previous trauma (mind/body connection) as well as in helping couples to reinvent their sexual relationship to enhance connection and intimacy.

CATRIONA BOFFARD

Clinical Sexologist, Psychotherapist & Sexuality Researcher

Catriona Boffard is a clinical sexologist, psychotherapist and researcher and has been working in the field of sexology since 2013. She has been a member of MSH since 2012. She was one of the first South Africans to be certified by the European Federation of Sexology – the highest attainable, internationally recognised qualification in Sexology. Catriona runs a private practice in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, but consults with clients globally. Catriona is often consulted by the media globally for radio, television or print content. She is the resident sexologist for Desir, South Africa’s leading sexual health and wellness brand.

HESTER VAN ASWEGEN

Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist with a special interest in pelvic floor dysfunction Hester graduated in 1987 from the University of Pretoria and began treating patients with pelvic floor problems in 2000. Her interest grew as the field developed to include all types of pelvic related dysfunctions, such as sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain, and also urinary and faucal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, anorectal dysfunction, as well as pre- and postoperative colorectal and gynaecological patients. She also sees pre- and postnatal patients with diastasis recti abdominis, and pelvic floor-, lower back- and symphysis pubis dysfunction. She treats both female and male patients.

DR EUGENE VILJOEN

Clinical Psychologist and Sexologist

Clinical Psychologist and Sexologist Eugene has been in private practice since 1992. He is registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist. He trained as a Clinical Psychologist and finished his internship at the Dept of Psychiatry at 1 Military Hospital where a special interest developed in sexual rehabilitation of war veterans. This period was followed with a short-sponsored internship at the Masters and Johnson Institute (Sexual Health) in St Louis, Missouri, USA. A Doctoral programme followed.

DR JIREH SERFONTEIN

Medical Doctor

Dr Jireh Serfontein is a medical doctor with a special interest in sexual health and HIV management. She has been part of the My Sexual Health team since 2013. Dr Serfontein completed her Master’s Degree in Sexual Health through the University of Sydney, Australia and holds a Diploma in HIV Medicine through the Colleges of Medicine in South Africa.

ISABEL DEIST

Physiotherapist

Isabel graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Pretoria and has been in private practice since 1997. She has a passion for helping to restore healthy sexual and emotional relationships in her professional role as a physiotherapist. She has a passion for helping to restore healthy sexual and emotional relationships in her professional role as a physiotherapist. She has completed numerous courses in Women’s Health Physiotherapy and has since been treating women and men with pelvic pain and dysfunction.

ANTOINETTE JANSEN VAN VUUREN

Physiotherapist

Antoinette Jansen van Vuuren is the practice owner of Van Vuuren Physiotherapists practice at Netcare Pretoria East Hospital, Moreletapark, Pretoria. She has been a member of My Sexual Health since the very beginning in 2010 and has successfully treated some of the most complicated cases referred to her by the MSH doctors. Antoinette graduated from University of Free State in 1991.

Cecilia Raath

Physiotherapist

Cecilia Raath is a Physiotherapist with a passion for assisting patients suffering from women’s health and men’s health conditions and the influence these problems may have on relationships, their confidence and self-image. Common women’s health conditions such as urine leakage, pelvic organ prolapse, dyspareunia (painful intercourse), recurrent bladder infections and constipation are treatable with pelvic health physiotherapy. Men’s health conditions include pelvic pain, post-prostatectomy incontinence, erectile dysfunction, premature – or delayed ejaculation, constipation and Peyronie’s disease.
